NOW LET'S JUMP INTO DESIGN!

HERE IS A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF OUR INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS:

1

Step

Schematic Design

2 -3 weeks +

This phase includes :

  • Drafting existing floor plans

  • Space planning

Through virtual meetings and email, we'll explore up to three layout options with floor plans, elevations, and 3D drawings.

4

Step

Construction Drawings

6 weeks +

This phase includes :

  • Final Design Review

  • Final Drawing Submittal

Once choices are finalized, we document everything in the Construction Drawings. We'll conduct a final, in-person review with you. Upon your approval, we'll submit the final documents to your contractor.

2

Step

Concept Design

1 week +

This phase includes :

  • Concept Images

  • Preliminary Materials

Through virtual meetings and email, we'll provide images to illustrate the overall design direction plus specific material options.

5

Step

Construction Administration

Duration of Construction

This phase includes :

  • Weekly construction meetings

  • Coordination with contractor

During the demolition, unexpected surprises may arise. We like to stick around to make sure all the important details remain in the final design, even when small (or large) adjustments have to be made.

3

Step

Design Development

3 weeks +

This phase includes :

  • Elevation Drawings

  • Material Samples

  • Preliminary Specifications

In person, we'll explore materials and finishes and review elevations. Through virtual meetings and email, we'll suggest plumbing fixtures, lighting, and discuss cabinet details.

6

Step

Project Management

As Required

If your contractor prefers not to manage material and finish orders in-house, Urban Roost can offer project management / material purchasing services.
